  • As part of on-going maintenance at this active, liquid storage facility, decontaminated over 30 AST’s and related piping.
  • Decontaminated tanks ranging in size from 25,000 to 250,000 barrels.
  • Contaminants addressed included toluene, polyetheramine, ethylene and diethylene glycol, diesel fuel, methyl ethyl ketone, n-butyl acetate, sodium hydroxide and mineral spirits.
  • Tanks were cleaned by high-volume pressure washing or spin-jet cleaning. Industrial de-degreasers, caustics and acids were used in decontamination processes.
  • Activities conducted around active rail line, truck transfer stations and waterway off loading platforms.
  • Managed and disposed of all tank contents and rinseate.
