Chemical Processing Facility - South-East
VIASANT was engaged to assist our customer with plant closure activities in preparation for sale.
Site activities included interior and exterior decontamination of over 100 tanks and associated process lines; high pressure wet decontamination of trenches, process rooms, and press building; temporary closure of Therminol UST systems; and managing of various waste streams.
Gathered product was either returned for re-utilization or disposed at the on-site wastewater/oil water separator
Battery Manufacturing Facility - Mid-West
Battery manufacturing facility in Kankakee, IL was decommissioned and lead dust and residue removed from associated areas.
Initially dry vacuumed and hand scraped where applicable, all contaminated areas. Followed with high pressure washing to ensure decontamination.
Production equipment cut and sized to allow for removal from foundations and supports.
Performed flushing of acid lines with caustic solution to neutralize acid and enable future dismantling and removal of lines and pumps.
Waste water treatment plant, tanks, piping and filter press cleaned and flushed of all solids and contaminants.
All waste streams contained and stored for appropriate offsite disposal.
